Rosetta® CSI sToken Receives FIPS 140-2 Validation
SAN JOSE, Calif.--January 5, 2004-- SPYRUS®, Inc. a leading provider of high assurance security products and solutions, announced that it has received FIPS 140-2 Level 1 Validation for its Rosetta® CSI sToken software. The Rosetta CSI sToken is a software cryptographic token that provides public key digital signature and encryption services for Microsoft Windows operating systems. It is particularly useful when use of a physical hardware token may not be convenient. The Rosetta CSI sToken is easy to deploy, easy to use, and provides an additional level of security assurance required for authentication, authorization and access control to valuable data.
The Rosetta CSI sToken is the latest member of the Rosetta Executive Suite product family to receive a FIPS security standard validation. Rosetta Executive Suite is a package of Rosetta CSI software and either a Rosetta Smart Card and PAR smart card reader, a Rosetta USB token or a LYNKS HSM. The Rosetta CSI sToken can be combined seamlessly with the Rosetta CSI software and the complementary Rosetta Smart Card, Rosetta USB, or LYNKS Privacy Card when higher assurance needs arise.
The Rosetta CSI software provides public key support and is compliant with the Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC) and DoD data services and is therefore functional for both commercial and U.S. Government use. The announcement of Rosetta CSI sToken is the first in a series of upcoming announcements regarding the availability of a new suite of security features that support higher assurance and protection of data, networks and physical access security when using the Rosetta Executive Suite.
