Trusted Mobility Solutions

Single Sign On

Single Sign On (SSO) means that users can log on once and have their electronic credentials accessed from a central place to more easily use a range of computers and applications. SSO has two important parts:
  • User authentication
  • Access permissions associated with the user
Strong authentication is critical for SSO because it is a “master key” to many doors. In this solution context, two-factor authentication is a minimum requirement. Good management of identity and access rights is critical for maintaining the business objective of the right access for the right people.

High assurance for enterprise access rights and ease-of-use for the end user are "win-win" benefits of the SSO solution.

SPYRUS client authentication products are designed for the high assurance required by SSO. The Rosetta Smart Card and USB hardware tokens provide two-factor authentication and include built-in integration with biometric products for three-factor authentication.

SPYRUS Signal Identity Manager provides the enrollment and credential life-cycle management of authentication products for SSO. Good security management and process management is a greater part of strong authentication.
